Cyprus Prepares for a Large Eurovision Party

05.05.2006

CyBC plans a big Eurovision Song Contest party, including Annet Artani's farewell moment, on 6th May in the island's capital, Nicosia. Constantinos Christoforou, who represented Cyprus in 1996, 2002 and in 2005, will be hosting the show.

The party will also feature guests from the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. CyBC invited almost one third of the participants of this year's contest; amongst others, representatives from Russia, Romania, Armenia, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Belarus are invited. We have received word from Moldova that Arsenium with Natalia Gordienko and ConnectR will be present and will be conducting interviews on May 7th on the Island. This is so far the officially announced guest list.

CyBC will air the party through RIK and through CyBC live.

Sources just informed that Constantinos Christoforou will also be the spokeperson of Cyprus and will deliver the votes of the Cypriot vote during the final on 20th May.
